My opinion
Misunderstanding - the novel, could be the name of this novel, because that’s 80% of the novel an MC sees a book, and the other characters see a different one. The story per se is not intricate and with few subplots, it’s a short story so there is not much material for world-building and story-building. What’s delicious is seeing how the author creates the misunderstandings, using metaphors, allegories, quick thinking, and overthinking to keep the plot going. 80% of the novel is this, the rest is: well that escalated quickly. The only reason I gave it a slow score, is due to being small. The author is good at creating misunderstandings, and this story deserves more of what seems to be a rushed ending.
